Hello my dears! This week I’m at a family-wedding-slash-American-Thanksgiving mega-gathering in another state, so a new Family Man page will go up next week. (I agreed to officiate the wedding AND make six pies; let me serve as a cautionary tale to you all.) Happy turkey day to those of you who celebrate!
Hello my dears! I’m back from an epic weeklong trip with my in-laws, celebrating my brother-in-law’s wedding (I got to officiate! It was cool!!) and then following it up with a giant Thanksgiving bash hosted by the bride’s family. It was a helluva thing, but I am very glad to be home now and have […]
Hello my dears! Portland is once more a wintry ice rink – I cleverly pre-printed out my linework to ink over and brought home all my  Cintiq stylus equipment in preparation for hunkering down. Sarah Winifred Searle has a remarkable, brave, heartbreaking essay about weight, health, […]
…are mildly exaggerated. I’ve been whomped with bronchitis and several of its very best virusfriends for the last ummmmm month. Luckily, with the help of a hardcore steroid inhaler, I’m finally on the mend! But of course…before I can finish page 437, I have to hustle off to Emerald City Comicon. I’ll be exhibiting on the Skybridge […]
Hello my dears! I’m (sufficiently) healthy and have almost even considered unpacking my bags from Emerald City Comicon. One of the best parts of the convention was my panel with Lucy Bellwood, David Malki !, and Kory Bing. We talked about taking the weird niche stuff you’re fascinated with (for example: 18th century academia, wolf […]
