Thank you! And happy holidays!

Thank you to all of you who contributed to the Periscope Studio Kickstarter project! We met our goal and six shiny new artbooks are underway. I’ll be taking next week off of the comic to enjoy some holiday family time. But, so you don’t feel too neglected, here’s a single-page comic that I did for […]
Happy new year to all of my lovely readers! I hope it will be a fine one for all of you. Here are a few things that I really enjoyed in 2013: Fallen London. A lovingly written, kooky, sprawling online game. I played in Fallen London nearly every day of 2013. If you have any interest […]
Let’s hope she doesn’t do anything rash with that poker. Several of you lovely creatures followed me into the pleasant abyss of Fallen London thanks to my News Years post (hurray!). If you’d like to meet fellow players who are also friends of the comic, please post your username / profile URL in the comments section here […]
I recommend flipping back to the previous page to read the dialogue. My best entertainment this week (a tax-filing, flu-ridden January slog that definitely needed some uplift) came from getting early backer access to the first half of Broken Age, the new adventure game out from Double Fine. I enjoy adventure games because of their […]
Thank goodness I can stop just calling her “Ariana’s mother” finally! News from elsewhere in my creative endeavors: you may know that I’m a writer for Scott Kurtz’s webcomic PvP. (It is pretty much the polar opposite of this comic in every way, which my writer-brain enjoys quite a bit!) With 15+ years of archives to […]
Hello my dears – I’m terribly sorry to miss this update. If you follow me elsewhere online, you’ll know it’s been a sad week in my house; we lost our dear wee pooch to cancer with extremely little warning. Between the rotten shock of the loss and a couple of hard deadlines, I was left […]
I am back! And so are the questionable parental decisions of the Nolte family. Thank you all for your kind words last week. You are all at this point familiar with Kickstarter (and IndieGoGo); a few other models for supporting independent artists have been cropping up, and this month Patreon, which allows creators to collect […]
Hey all, my computer quite definitively exploded this week. It’s currently in for repairs, but I lost a day of work (in a week with a lot of deadlines) and was on borrowed equipment thereafter. I did my best impression of a wolverine and tried to berserk my way through this week’s page, but to […]
Whoo, okay. It’s been a long week of continuing computer failures and immune system SNAFUs but by god here is your page of comic. Forged on four different computers with five different logic boards, attached to four Cintiq tablets, one scanner, one printer, through a haze of cold meds and freelance work. Raaaaaaaaaaaah! …annnnd now for a lie-down.
Well, this is going in some sort of worrisome direction. The crystal ware should, at least, be concerned for its wellbeing. If you are a fan of my picture-making and your home has walls, GOOD NEWS: I’ve got an INPRNT store! This makes it much easier and less expensive for me to sell high-quality, on-demand prints of […]
