Hello, my dears!
Holiday madness descends upon us. Starting…NOW, I’ll be either traveling, hurriedly taking care of end-of-year business stuff, or playing hostess for a big gathering, so any books ordered from here on out will likely not arrive in time for Christmas.
Thank you all for ordering – my household enjoyed a breathtaking $8000 plumbing adventure last month, so it was great to end the business year on a happy note!
In the meantime, if any of you are looking for some lovely, instrumental Christmas music that doesn’t assault you with jingle bells or orchestral covers of “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, my family’s favorite album, Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel’s The Gift, is available in mp3 from Amazon for just $5.99 (with lots of audio previews so you can see if you like it). Great for anybody who likes, say, Penguin Cafe Orchestra!
I’ve followed along with Family Man after becoming a reader – I could almost say “an addict” – a few weeks ago. Very well done. Absorbing and engaging. But the thing that made me stop and comment is this: you always begin your missives with “Hello, my dears!” I know it’s not artless, but it always makes me smile, and I love you for it.
