Hello my dears! Did you forget about that rifle mounted on the wall behind him? I’ve been waiting for this straight-shot (so to speak) for pages and pages.
There were some comments on last week’s blog post, and in case the askers didn’t catch my answers, I thought I’d address them here as well! Several of you weren’t sure what was going on with Agata’s bleeding here, or with Ariana’s in that flashback scene (and why it wigged Nolte out so badly). Long story short: menarche! Perhaps that sheds some light on why the Rector was so startled, too.
The other question: when will the Notes section update again? The answer: I’ll post them all after volume II is in print! In the meantime, if you miss them, you can support the Patreon at $5 and blaze through the notes for every page I’ve posted there (and then quit after a month, even!) The intermediate pages are still under wraps until the new book, though.
After that I’ll go back to posting them every 10 pages. I’m also looking to revamp the Notes page as part of my gradual website redesign effort!
I always understood it was period blood, but I never understood why it was coming from so far down on the legs. Wouldn’t their pants be super stained before the blood made it that far down their legs?
Yes, this always puzzled me too. In a skirt or very loose pants I could understand it, but in close-fitting pants like this, I don’t see how it could trickle down the leg without first staining the crotch. Ah well, call it literary license, I guess.
