Hello my dears!
I’m finally back from all my travels. I’m tuckered out beyond measure, but by golly HERE IS A PAGE! I’m happy that my schedule is travel-free for the next month or more, so we should be powering through the rest of this scene at a regular clip.
While I’m sleeping off the last of my jetlag, there are some lovely new things in the world for comics readers: NIMONA by Noelle Stevenson is out on shelves. It’s always a kick to see a webcomic with a bookstore display – if you live in the Portland area, stop by the main branch of Powell’s Books and find it in the “staff picks” section of the foyer – or buy it online for just $9 right now!
I’m also looking forward to picking up a copy of Sydney Padua’s The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage, which also began its life online. It’s an alternate-history/sci-fi romp in which the two famous computer science pioneers actually construct a working super-computer and use it to go on, well, adventures. Adorable!
