Ah, there’s our old friend, Full Page Panel of the Moon! Lucky me, getting such a simple page for Christmas week.
Telling scary stories is an important Christmas/Solstice/dark part of the year tradition in much of the English-speaking world. (Sadly for me, America tends to stick to cozier tales – “A Christmas Carol” is the only real British-style holiday ghost story that’s gotten much footing on our side of the pond, possibly because it has a moral and a happy ending.)
Luckily, the internet provides easy secondary sources for holiday creep-outs. This year I recommend you all give a listen to the 2011 Christmas episode of A Podcast to the Curious, which covers the classic M.R. James story “Count Magnus.” Enjoy! Leave the lights on!
